Orangutans Two metal print by William Underwood.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description

This image was rendered on a scratch-board. Lines are created using a knife to scratch into an inked surface exposing the white coating underneath. Ink is added at the end of the process to create a color image.

About William Underwood

William Underwood

Underwood holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Eastern Kentucky University (major in painting, minor in drawing), studied life drawing at the Louisville School of Art, and taught art fundamentals as a graduate assistant at Southern Illinois University. In 1995, he obtained a Master of Arts degree from the University of South Florida, and from 1999 to 2001 completed a two year stint as an adjunct drawing and design instructor at a local college. He was the figure drawing instructor at the Gulf Coast Museum of Art in Largo, Florida for many years. � Drawings. Underwood's work runs the gamut from traditional black and white pencil landscapes to portraits of people and animals, along with several featuring a fantasy twist. Besides...
